Happy 52nd

Life will shine with the light of happiness,
Music and laughter will fill your days,
Success and health walk side by side,
As you pass another bright sign.

51 it says all glittery and cute,
52’s ahead, but this I'll tell you,
Walk on fast but do enjoy,
The year that's coming is full of joy.

For all the love you have given,
For all the hope you have spread,
Your 52nd year will reflect,
All the times you've been blessed.

With all the love in the world,
We stand beside you hand in hand,
Pillars of strength to hold you high,
Trust us mum, we'll never let you stumble or cry.

Hold our hands, walk with us,
Don't let go we love your heart and soul,
Lets walk on through the gate to the 52nd year,
I'm sure it'll be worth the wait.

Happy B'day (We love you)

Featured Poem Of The Month

The other day my Sister Joan,
Contacted me by telephone,
To tell me of a wondrous trip,
She’d taken to the Vegas Strip.

For coming soon there was for Joan,
The not so happy milestone,
Of turning forty and no doubt,
My sister Joan was freaking out.

For weeks she endlessly complained,
While driving all who heard insane,
That one day soon she’d wake at dawn,
To find her youth forever gone.

But home from the Las Vegas scene,
My sister Joan seemed quite serene,
For there she bought to ease her loss,
A tour book by E. Kubler-Ross,
Which mapped the sites to find relief,
And navigate each stage of grief.

Now first, Joan said I stayed a while,
At MGM s Hotel Denial,
Where all day long it's no surprise,
I basked in self-deluded lies.

"You re only as old as you feel!"
I shouted with affected zeal,
Along with other fibs aplenty,
Like, "Forty s really the new twenty!"

And, "God! I look so young and fit!
You know, I haven’t changed a bit!"
Feeling good I went to scrounge,
Up cocktails at The Anger Lounge,

The Vegas bar scene looking bleak,
I strolled into a posh boutique,
For sadness quite often brings,
The urge to do some bargaining.

I queried, feigning self esteem,
How much to buy that wrinkle cream?
Or do you think you could supply,
A bit of botox on the sly?

Famished from my self-obsession,
I dined at La Maison de Pression,
With renowned chef, the grandiose,
And aptly named Monsieur Morose,
Tonight, he said, our sad menu,
Includes my favorite, Hopeless Stew.

We start with tears plucked from your face,
And add them to a Prozac base,
Then very finely we anoint,
It with a spice called what’s the point.

So tell me please, when you decide,
For I’ll be on the ledge outside,
I got the sense my meal was done,
When Morose dialed 911.

And so I thought it time to go,
Back into town to catch a show,
Out on the strip a grand display,
Read: Midlife Crisis de Soleil.

And underneath, the stern reprise,
Acceptance of One s Own Demise,
And then I realized that’s it!
This woman doesn’t give a wit!
When forty came, she didn’t frown,
She ponied up and doubled down!

And after that I felt okay,
For finally I had found my way,
And cast aside these aging fears,
At least for ten or twenty years.

Birthday Wishes

There are things I cannot say….
Certain things in certain ways….

So here I go….

Today’s a day so very special for you….
Says who? Says me says he, says she and everybody with glee,
So today this is a wish only you can make come true.

Close your eyes, make a wish and blow out your candle,
Because the way you smile is the beautiful brightness know one else can handle.

Much Love and … many more Birthday wishes to you.

50th Birthday Invitation

It's my birthday and I'm turning fifty,
We'll sit outside and cook on the grill,
There will be lots of food we'll have a great meal,
Jeff will do the cooking no it'll be me,

No gifts do I want just you to be there,
Just come and have fun and show that you care,
I'll bake a cake it'll have to be a biggie,
To hold all those candles I'm going to be fifty!

So come and have fun and we'll sit for awhile,
We'll chit and we'll chat and make everybody smile,
So if I forget which I sometimes do,
You made my birthday special and I want too,

Thank you Mom

For nine months, I was just a part of you,
Little by little, I grew inside of you.
The morning sickness you didn’t really mind,
Cause from day one you are already kind.

When my life is dark, you serve as my light,
When I am sad, you always hug me tight.
When I was inside of you, in me, you already believe,
You sacrifice a lot just to let me live.

I hope when it’s my turn to become a mom,
I can achieve at least half of what you’ve done,
Cause you did not just give me a life,
You also taught me to fight my own strife.

Today’s my birthday, but it should be your day,
Cause you’re the reason why I am here today,
So in this very special day of mine,
I wanna say Thank You to you, my Mom.

I Have Wishes For You

To the one person I trust the most,
The person I run to when I feel lost,
The one who help me ward off my ghost,
When I need you to, you’re always close.

On your special day, I have wishes for you,
First is happiness, long lasting one that’s true,
Forget all the sadness, please never be blue,
Now give me a smile, a big one will do.

I hope you find love one day soon,
A special girl who can keep up to your tune,
But for now just look at the moon,
Or spend your time watching cartoon.

But seriously, you know I wish you all the best,
I pray to God that you’ll always stay blessed,
There maybe times that He’ll put you to test,
Just call on me we’ll get thru it, don’t be depressed.

Thru happiness or surrounded by clouds of gray,
You know I’ll always be here each and every day,
But for now have a great time and enjoy your special day,
Happy Birthday to you, that’s what I want to say.

Forgetful Me

I wiped my brow,
I tapped my head,
I said lie down,
Think it over in bead,

I remembered September,
And the season of fall,
But your date of birth,
I could not recall.

So I said, what the heck,
No matter what they say
It‘s never to late,
To wish a 21st happy birthday.

Another Year

I m wishing you another year
Of laughter, joy and fun,
Surprises, love and happiness,
And when your birthday s done,

I hope you feel deep in your heart,
As your birthdays come and go,
How very much you mean to me,
More than you can know.

On your birthday I wish you much pleasure and joy;
I hope all of your wishes come true.
May each hour and minute be filled with delight,
And your birthday be perfect for you!

Each year your birthday reminds me
That I really want to say
I m very glad I know you;
I think of you each day.

I hope you enjoy your birthday,
All the pleasures it has in store,
And because I appreciate you,
I hope you have many more!

Nephew Birthday Poem

The day you were born,
Was like all the sorrows gone.
You’re a gift for my brother,
Given by my dear sister in law.

I remember the day when,
You entered our home,
Along with your mamma-papa,
Only few days down.

Though you were away from us,
For few days due to no hard reason,
We all missed you and your activities,
And were unhealed the whole season.

The days are back and,
You’re with everyone.
And I got a chance,
To wish you happiness and have some fun.

So, happy birthday to my dear nephew,
From the bottom of my heart,
And may your good times multiply,
Till they’re flying off the chart!

Reaching Sixty Years Of Age

When we were young and happy, we had a lot of fun,
Days seem to last forever as we played out in the sun,
We never thought of growing old or having aches and pains,
But in a blink the years have flown, and the sun has turned to rain.

Now that you are sixty you will start to feel the strain,
Your bones will start to creak, and you'll need a zimmer frame,
Your teeth begin to fall out and you will find it hard to eat,
You'll have to wear your dentures and forget about the meat.

At night you will be up and down going for a pee,
And your eyesight will start failing until you cannot see,
Your hair will start receeding and the wrinkles they come too,
And you will have to take "exlax" to go to the loo.

Now I don't want to depress you, because todays a special day,
So listen very carefully and follow what I say,
You must give up all the night life and cut out all the booze,
Get up nice and early and later have a snooze.

Take it nice and easy and be in bed by eight,
Make sure you have some exercise and don't put on more weight,
Never get excited or make your heart run fast,
And s..x should be forgotten or next time could be your last.

So remember, be good, stay healthy and lean,
And you will live to get a telegram from the Queen,
This poem is just a bit of fun,
You will probably live to one hundred and one.

Listen

Listen closely,

I say to you today,

And have some fun and happiness,

And do it in your way.

For there is no limit nor expectation,

For you to make,

Nor a lot of things to learn,

And almost nothing to intake.

So live this day to the fullest,

For it only comes once a year,

So listen to what we all say,

Be careful, don t mishear.

For every thing said today,

Has a meaning all its own,

So hurry up and you might say,

That it’s my birthday.

It’s Your Birthday Today

It’s your birthday today,
Be thankful to the Almighty,
It’s your birthday today,
Blessing upon you he will lay.

It’s your birthday today,
Another year unfolds your way,
It’s your birthday today,
Spend it in the most special way.

It’s your birthday today,
A day worth storing in your memory,
It’s your birthday today,
Let love rule your heart every single day.

It’s your birthday today,
Make friends a plenty,
It’s your birthday today,
Give smiles to many.

It’s your birthday today,
Be nothing else but happy
It’s your birthday today,
Take the sadness away.

It’s your birthday today,

Happy Birthday

Some people give the gift,
of peace and tranquility,
to every life they touch,
They are always who they really are.

They are blessedly reliable,
dependably good,
predictably pleasant,
loved and treasured
by all who know them.

You are one of those people,
You are a gift of peace and tranquility in my life.

Cause God will be your guide.

So forget the past,
Cause the pain won’t last,
Another year is cast,
Enjoy it as you must.

Joy is what I wish for you,
Success in everything you do,
Hope all your dreams come true,

First Blessing

I felt like today nothing will go wrong,
When I heard the birds singing a cheerful song,
The misty breeze and the wind’s so strong,
A perfect day for memories that will last for long.

Hope this birthday be your best birthday ever,
May this always be a special one to remember,
Not just a year older but a year better,
Have a blessed year and a lot less harder.

It may just be an ordinary day for you,
But for me, this is the day my wish came true,
29 years ago, the angels gathered to celebrate too,
The arrival of you, as round and round in heaven they flew.

The best years of my life is the past 3 that I’ve know you,
When you came into my life and showed me that you’re true,
Don’t ask me why because I haven’t got a clue,
But I’m looking forward to the years that will follow through.

Happy Birthday!

Birthday Rhythm

Strawberries are red,
Blueberries are blue,
Today is your birthday,
I'm thinking of you.

You‘ve been my friend in history,
Past, present and future,
Girl you know all is true,
Without you I would be indeed so blue.

When I laugh you laugh,
When I cry you laugh,
Why my dear friend laugh when I cry?
You are my child, look in the mirror when you cry, you will see reason why!

It's your birthday anyway, hey are you going ask me something about today?
If not I have to say, happy birthday, comfort and joy to you on this day,
Because you are history, past, present and future, you and I will always be friends on birthdays and any days.

Birthday Reminder

It's your birthday, so don’t feel down;
Don’t think deep stuff and frown;
Your life should be filled with mirth;
Just look what you’ve done since your birth.

You started out really small;
Now you’ve really filled out and tall;
In the beginning you would just cry;
Now you can laugh if you try.

You’ve done quite well since your start;
So as you grow older take heart;
Keep up the good work and seize the day;
Enjoy your birthday in every way.

Don't Mind Old Birthday Party Pooper...

It's birthday time again I see;
Another year has flown by.
I’m a bit older than I used to be;
The thought just makes me sigh.

But being my age is a lot of fun,
Especially when grandkids visit me,
Where joking around makes me young,
And gives us all laughter and glee.

But Grandma is a spoilsport at times,
When playfulness turns to a humdinger.
So kiddies, don’t give party poop any mind,
It’s my birthday - go ahead - pull my finger!

True Friend

A true friend is hard to find,
Someone who is always kind.
Words of advice; freely share,
Helping hand, always spare.

A true friend is hard to find,
Someone always on my mind.
Listens, cares, and understands,
Hardships; mutually withstands.

A true friend is hard to find,
Someone like you! Let me remind.
Birthday greetings, from my heart,
This celebration, we must start.

Wishes for your Birthday

My love for you, shall never pause,
Strong and determined with all our flaws.
It endures and doesn’t judge,
Never holds a lasting grudge.

Generous, loyal, always kind,
To your outer layer blind.
Surely, opposite of rude,
My beating heart I must include.

On your birthday, my love for you,
From the clouds, a perfect view.
Moments, memories, a year gone by,
I'm here for you, don't you cry.

My love for you, lives by the truth,
Always keeps me, in my youth.
When it sees, our trust and hope,
It climbs and conquers any slope.
